Q. How long does one of your tours last?
A. We involve the audience in our stories, and so we can't predict to the minute; but, on average 60 to 75 minutes, dependng on how "carried away" our phantoms and/or audience are.
Q. What do your tours cost?
A. The tours cost £8.00 for adults, £6.00 for students (on production of matricullation card) and for accompanied children under 16
Q. Should we book in advance?
A. Yes, we may not turn up at the advertised time if you don't.
Q. How do we book?
A. Simply contact us by phone or email. We will send you a Paypal e-invoice which you can pay by debit or credit card, or through your own PayPal account, or, if you would prefer, you may pay by cheque. We will then send an email to confirm your booking.
Q. Can't we just turn up on the night and pay?
A. That would depend on whether or not the tour was fully booked. We hate to turn people away, but our numbers are limited.....and, occasionally we may need to change the time of a tour to suit the requirements of a large group who are first to book. To guarantee a place, it's best to book.
Q. Do you make up the stories you tell?
A. Absolutely not. Those stories which are not based on hard historical fact come from traditional folklore. All of our stories are carefully researched.
Q. Are you a franchise of any other Ghost Walks?
A. No. The Original St Andrews Witches Tour stands alone, independent of any other company. At the moment, we only operate in St Andrews unless invited to give a tour or performance elsewhere.
Q. What's the maximum and minimum number of people you will take on a tour?
A. On our regular Thursday and Friday night tours the minimum would be one (1) person. (We like our work, but people look at you strangely if you wander round the town telling stories to thin air). The maximum would be 65 people.
Q. Are Thursdays and Fridays the only days you operate on?
A. Thursdays and Fridays are the days of our regular tours, but we can open up a tour on another night (or day) if requested by a large enough group. You'll find details of any extra tours on our Ghostly Antics page. We can also arrange private tours for groups. Feel free to contact us for more information.
Q Can we book a tour without booking the Squeal and a Meal Deal?
A. Yes. We're happy to see you whether you've eaten or not....
Q. Can we bring dogs on the tour?
A. Sadly, with the exception of guide dogs, we have to say no. Although most of our phantoms like dogs, the feeling just isn't mutual...
